Show off a popping belt (nothing too huge because you don't want a bold belt to overpower the delicacy of your tops, but go crazy on jewelry) Another way you could wear this is as shown, buttoned, possibly layered with other sheer peices to give it more of a smoky or cloudy effect, but i think it looks good kept simple with some great nail color. Lonely, Lonely
While browsing through iTunes full of self-pity, I came across Taking Back Sunday and their song Lonely, Lonely. Seeing that it fit the situation, I got it. Then I went to log on to my email on Yahoo and one of the featured articles was about things in your house that you bought to look awesome but never really use. I was like wow, uh and immediately though of the furniture pieces as lonely. Get it? Then I was thinking about how it's kind of like clothes. You get something just to say you have it. You know? Like you see this super outrageous metallic gold mini dress and your like that is wicked cool and get it. Now you know you'll feel stupid wearing it (I wouldn't, that dress would be so cool), but hey, now you can say I have a really amazing metallic gold dress. I've also fallen into this whole thing without realizing it. I got this bright purple tulle fabric completely convinced that I would make something with it, but for the past 2 months its been sitting in my closet, yet I am still happy saying I have.
Don't do this! It is a waste of money and space. And if your friend does it hopefully you will be smart enough to talk them out of it and/or slap them.

So on the Free People website, there is a video that will totally change the way you see your closet. Now before I ramble on about the amazing video, I have to tell you something else amazing. On the homepage it's all like Pack Lightly and it shows 12 pieces and 8 different outfits you can make with them and I was just like Whoa, that is ah-maze-ing! So anyway once you look at that for awhile, go to the New Looks tab and on the left-hand side click on Changing Room. Watch the entire video, and you might cry you are so happy. So a few episodes ago on 90210, Annie and her family had a garage/yard sale. Of course Naomi thought it was tacky because she's never had or went to one her entire life. Maybe some people agree with her, but we don't. It has got to be one of the best ways to get rid of your old clothes. Not only will it leave you with all your cool clothes and no out of style ones and a cleaner closet, it will also leave you with money to buy new clothes. Yayy!! My family just had one and let me tell you, my closet looks sooo much better. Even my room benefitted! I got rid of old books for more room on my bookshelf for books like Like I Give a Frock and I got rid of some old jewelry. And the garage sale is also reason for my parents to bring out their old stuff. An 80s dress anyone? Sometimes I'm in heaven in all our old crap : ) Plus, I found these two old pictures from our old house and I really want to paint the frames and put them in my room. They're amazingly perfect! And then you can donate what you don't sell to your church or local thrift store or shelter!

ok so i am obsessed with jewelry.To add a new spin on a peice you've worn over and over again, pair it with something way different. Come up with a super amazing outfit and pair it wih the reserved stuff that you don't wear as much. Switch up the peices too. I.E. a necklace can easily be turned into bracelet. Just wrap it aound your wrist. I mean really, its that simple. If you have the type of bracelet that latches and unlatches, you can connect a bunch to make a long necklace or belt. Also, turn rings into long earrings by stringing them on wire. Here's a neat trick: if you have any skinny belts, wrap them around your feet and ankels before you put your shoe on. You can go for that ballet slipper kind of look or you can put your own spin on the way you wrap it.

Omg so that doily thing is totally like my older DIY bangle post!! We are totally gonna do that and tell you guys about it! Yay doilies! Oh and ohmigod. Guess what! I just subscribed to Threadbangers DIY podcast and I am so excited about it. There is this one project where you fuse together plastic grocery bags and make a laptop case but I'm making a shopping tote and bulletin board instead! It'll be awesome! OK so THIS is what I wanted to put on the weekly everything in one!! These are Club Monaco belts. mmmmmmm droollll!!! They are $49 each which is a little expensive, but so entirely worth it!! But if your looking for something more affordable, this type of skinny belt is all over the place! If you look hard enough, you can find a classic thin belt for a steal!

OK so these shoes are pretty cool, huh? They are $29.50 from Pac Sun. But instead of buying these, you can take inspiration and totally DIY!! For example, The curved thing on the sole reminds me of a doiley.
Doileys come in all sorts of colors, shapes and sizes. So, you could take a bunch of great decorative doileys to add a small embelishment to your sneakers or even to a headband or bangle. (a great way to dress up a plain bangle). C'est tres chouette!!!

This is a smart investment, cause if you get the right size, you might never outgrow it! And, I bet if you look over your wardrobe, you could be creative and invent several new ways to wear it! If you don't like this specific style of belt, you could go for one of those super-amazing metallic thin belts that do the same trick!! (I was trying to post one of THOSE on, but yet again, computer is being a jerk). But this one's cool too!
