HALLOWEEN, as we all know, is right around the corner! Rae, me and a bunch of friends are going as disney characters. I am going as Alice in Wonderland. (Rae is going as tinkerbell) I have had alot of trouble trying to find a costume surprisingly. Most of the actual Alice costumes I have found have been either not in my size, or way too short for my parent's approval. So, I have been looking for a blue dress that could work as an Alice dress. I found one on Alloy, but unfortunately is really expensive:

Ruched Front Dress Alloy- $42.90

Although this is the best dress I've found so far, I found some other ones that might work too.

Well, as you can see all these dresses from overstock are pretty much the same. Although the prices are much less, I think the one from Alloy would be better for Alice in Wonderland, and I would probably wear the dress besides Halloween more often than I would with one of these other dresses. Plus I am wearing a petticoat with the dress, so I have to get a dress with plenty of room on the bottom.

Well, enough about the dress. I am wearing a petticoat, and i am making a white apron for it. I don't know what i'm going to do about the dress but I'll figure it out.

Well, for those of you who are looking to create-your-own halloween costume, try looking in the clearance sections of general stores online, like Alloy, Overstock, Go Jane, or any department store like JCPenney's. As for the accesories, be creative and take liberties with these, because the accesories are the things that turn a regular dress into a halloween costume. Also, it's going to be chilly and you know that you'll need to bring a jacket. Perhaps try to coordinate your coat or hat with your costume, to save the annoyance of people asking, "Now, who are you supposed to be??"
